Service Wire SW-SER, sold as SE-R, is a 600V service entrance cable built with three stranded copper XHHW-2 crosslinked polyethylene insulated phase conductors and a bare copper ground, jacketed in gray PVC. It is manufactured to UL 44 and UL 854. This cable is used to feed service equipment and panels in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings, running from the service point to the main panel or distribution equipment. It is rated 90C for wet or dry service and is sunlight resistant, so it can be run in exposed locations on the outside of a structure as well as indoors. A distinguishing feature of this construction is its gray jacket, rather than the black jacket used on most other Service Wire products, which helps it stand out as a service entrance conductor on site. SW-SER is a bid-only cable; conductor size and length are configured per project and quoted on request.
