Service Wire SW-PVC-TRAY-SHIELDED, listed as Tray Cable (PVC-Shielded), is a dual-rated 600/1,000V shielded tray cable that pairs XHHW-2/RW90 insulated conductors with a longitudinally applied corrugated copper tape shield, a bare copper ground, and an overall black PVC jacket. It is built to UL 1277 and CSA C22.2 #230. The copper tape shield is included to provide EMI protection for tray power and control circuits, which is useful where drive or instrumentation cabling shares a tray with unshielded power conductors. The cable is offered in 3- and 4-conductor builds and is rated for industrial cable tray and Class I/II Division 2 hazardous locations as well as direct burial. SW-PVC-TRAY-SHIELDED also carries a two-hour firewall rating, and an optional drain wire can be specified alongside the shield for grounding purposes at termination points.
