The Halco ARL-PCS-PIR-MS is a standalone passive infrared (PIR) motion sensor designed for use with Halco's ARL-PCS area lights. Like its microwave counterpart in the same Controls & Timers family, it is a field-installed accessory that adds occupancy-based control to an area light fixture. A PIR sensor detects motion by sensing changes in infrared heat within its field of view, which an electrician can use to switch or dim an ARL-PCS area light in response to activity in the area it covers. This makes it a fit for parking areas, walkways, and other exterior spaces served by ARL-PCS fixtures where energy savings from occupancy control are wanted. The ARL-PCS-PIR-MS is supplied in a pack of 150, a quantity suited to distributors and contractors stocking motion sensors for larger area-lighting installations or multi-site rollouts.
